Streambar sound inconsistent

I have 2 Streambars (and other Rokus) and am generally a huge fan. But noticed recently the sound from the Streambar is very inconsistent - and changing Sound Modes doesn’t help.
For example, watching the Paul Simon special, the sound is great when announcers/presenters are talking. But as soon as a musician starts singing or playing, it is much softer and somewhat muffled. Have to constantly move volume up and down depending on the content. And then commercials come on and they are blasting!

Have tried “Music” mode (the logical choice), but that made the music even worse than other modes! Dialogue mode actually had the best sound for music, but again, when the music stops, the actual dialogue is way too loud.

I love the idea of different modes and sound leveling, but neither of those features seems to be ready for prime time. Have others had similar issues? Have you found different settings that help? Thanks!
