My Roku TV is displaying a list of different things that I could do using the Roku TV app that's fine but I don't want to see it keep popping up during my family time watching TV together it literally pops up every 2 minutes or so there's a picture of a TV screen a picture of a channel list a picture of a movie scroll a picture of a search and a picture of a cellular device how do I get that to stop popping up on the TV

It sounds like your TV was set up in store/demo mode.  You have to factory reset it to get it out of that mode.  See this from @makaiguy :
