My roku 32" tv is three-ish years old and yesterday it started making a high pitched screech noise when turned on. I unplugged it for a minute then plugged it back in, turned it on and it worked for about 24 hours until it made the screech again. The unplugging worked but what a pain. Terrible sound.

Thanks for letting us know about the trouble you've encountered with a high-pitched screech noise when turning on your Roku TV and the steps you took to resolve it.

For us to help you better, we will ask a set of questions to isolate the issue:

  • What model is your Roku TV? (Hisense, TCL, ONN, Select Series, Pro, Series, Plus Series, etc.)
  • When did you notice the issue start?
  • Are there any changes in the setup or settings of your Roku device or your network provider that might cause the problem?
  • What is your device's OS version?

For troubleshooting purposes, we recommend restarting your Roku TV from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power > System restart (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
