Today I added the Roku TV Wireless Soundbar to my recently purchased Roku - 50" Class Select Series 4K Smart RokuTV. The installation was remarkably simple! The sound quality was immediately terrible, quite garbled. I have tried adjusting various audio settings with no real effect. I have at this point unplugged to soundbar. The sound from the TV, while tinny, is much better and easier to understand.
So, do I have a defective soundbar? or is this simply a terrible product?

Many apologies... my bad! I seem to have originally set it up facing speakers downward on a plastic table. I now have it set upright, as designed, and on a cushion. The sound quality (surprise!) is better. Please close.

Re: Roku TV Wireless Soundbar, poor sound quality
Actually... while I have accepted this soundbar I can't say I am thrilled with it.
Since I got it set up correctly it has performed consistently... pretty good sound, not great, when first connected. I have noticed that the quality degrades over time, over a day or so, to the point where is sounds like it is coming from underwater (best metaphor I can think of). Just sort of garbled. I've tried changing the settings as you suggest, to no real effect. I've learned to simply do a "system restart" and things clear up, i.e., back to pretty good. It is better than the TV without a soundbar, but certainly no five-stars.
