I just hooked up my sound bar and am having the same issue when trying to watch/ listen to cable TV on a Samsung TV (~3yrs old)... also is there a way I can have the soundbar on/ connected but instead of it going to the Roku home page when I turn my TV on I get my reg cable TV?  I have the sound bar connected w both HDMI and optic cable but I'm not sure if my TV has the ARC HDMI- only 1 HDMI port on the TV.

Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing regarding audio?

In regards to when turning on you TV, what input are you last using when you turn off your TV?

If you use Roku Soundbar remote to turn on your TV it will always go to the Soundbar home screen. Want the Soundbar just for better sound use your TV remote instead.
