Where to get support for your Roku TV™ | Official Roku Support
It's Roku's firmware update. Happened to me and I gave up, I then tried using TV somewhere without Internet, only antenna TV. Surprise surprise it worked fine. Brought back to original location without connecting Internet (to Roku operating system at least) and still worked. Bought an external streaming device, and plugged it into HDMI port. Connected only the device to Internet and now I stream just fine through that.
That’s exactly what I did. It’s really a shame that Roku won’t acknowledge this obvious bug and fix it.
My tv is also TLC Roku and less than a year old. I called tech support and they gave me some things to try but none worked. The only thing is I don’t have the receipt. The tv was purchased for me by my son last Christmas!! Looks like I am at a loss right now. But I am noticing that TLC Roku brand is doing this. Looks like they have a bad product. They aren’t even trying to fix the problem. I am so sorry that my son purchased this brand.

I have a Philips Roku tv and my tv turns on but no picture I can hear sounds but can’t see nothing. Was working perfectly fine last night
It could be that your set's backlight has failed. If you get real close and shine a flashlight on the screen, can you see that there is a actually an image there?
My Phillips Roku is doing the same thing, except I have a perfect picture on the home screen. I've tried the unplugging and the factory reset. To my dismay on any app and live TV all I get is the black screen and best of family feud sound
Hi Roku Community users,
If you're experiencing a blank screen with audio on your Roku TV, don't worry—here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check the Basics:
Wake-Up Mode: Some TVs have a “wake up” mode that may cause a delayed picture. Try pressing any button on the TV remote or on the TV itself to wake it up.
HDMI-CEC Settings: Ensure that HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is enabled on your TV. This feature allows devices connected to your TV (such as a Roku or game console) to control the TV and may help resolve display issues. Check your TV's settings and enable the HDMI-CEC option.
Restart Your TV:
Factory Reset (Last Resort): If none of the above steps work, you can try performing a factory reset on your Roku TV. Please note that this will erase all your settings and data, so it's important to be sure before proceeding. You can refer to your TV's user manual for specific instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please consult your TV's user manual or contact the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
For better visibility and reference, we'll mark this post as solved once the issue is resolved.
Best,
The Roku Community Team
