Jump to solution

I have bought a onn roku tv from a local Walmart and after at least 2 weeks after buying, the red light goes dim turns on then turn right back off immediately then it does it again after about 2-5 seconds.

I will be so grateful if anybody could help me with this problem. Thank you.

Thanks for the response, @Thatfriendlyguy.

For this matter, we're glad to let you know that performing a Factory Reset on your Roku TV may resolve the issue you are experiencing.

You can follow the steps below to perform a factory reset from the Roku device settings:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.
  3. Select System
  4. Select Advanced system settings.
  5. Select Factory reset
  6. Select Factory reset everything and follow the on-screen instructions.

You may also use the physical button on your Roku TV. It is located on the back or bottom of your device, and the physical Reset button is either tactile or has a pinhole design that requires a straightened paper clip. It will appear similar to one of the following:

Once you locate the Reset button and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.

After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device.

Hi @Thatfriendlyguy,

Welcome, and thanks for posting to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about your trouble with the red light on your ONN Roku TV going dim, turning on, and turning right back off.

It's possible that your TV may be experiencing a software or hardware issue that is causing the problem. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check the input source: Make sure you have selected the correct input source on your TV. You can do this by pressing the input or source button on your TV remote and selecting the input that corresponds to the device you're using.

Check the cables: Ensure that all the cables connected to your TV and the device you're using (such as a cable box or streaming device) are securely plugged in and not damaged. Try unplugging and plugging them back in to see if this helps.

Reset the TV: Try resetting your TV to its factory settings. You can usually do this by going to the settings menu on your TV and selecting "System" or "Reset."

Contact manufacturer support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact the manufacturer's support team for further assistance. They may be able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution or recommend a repair.

We hope it helps!

All the best,
Chel
