Yep! Exactly! I spent 600$ for this to keep happening’ i am so upset! And frustrated. It is definitely an Onn situation because i have Roku on my daughters tv! I am so upset over this it never stops … and the customer support is no help. They tell me to check my switches etc when my other tv has no issues same plugs. So frustrating
I found my own fix. Went back to google and found another link which directed me to the small reset button on the back of the tv near the USB ports. It is not marked as reset, but I held it in for about 30 seconds and the Onn tv did a complete reset. I had to go back and activate my system and apps but at least “for now” it seems to work. Or at least until Onn wants to force another update on me.
See my fix I entered below.
That button was one of the first things I tried. It didn't stop the rebooting. My TV won't even shut off, it just keeps rebooting over and over again until unplugged. Once plugged back in - it starts that reboot cycle all over again. Thank you though.
Yeah none of that stuff worked ended up getting a new tv
After a week of leaving it unplugged, doing ALL of the things suggested, and rechecking it one last time... that's what I did, bought a new TV.
I have done the exact same troubleshooting and have a TCL. It occasionally comes on to the normal menu and works but then messes up again and reboots.
Hi Community users,
Thanks for posting to the Roku Community!
We're sorry to hear about the behavior you've encountered with your Roku TV, which keeps rebooting. We appreciate the steps you took to resolve the issue.
Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
All the best,
Chel
Once again - you don't understand. It would NOT stop rebooting, turns on to Roku screen then turns off, then on to Roku screen then turns off, again and again and again until I unplug it. I have even left it on for an hour and this is all it does... please see video I added in a previous post. If it doesn't stop rebooting without simply unplugging it there's NO way to get to the information you've requested. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE THREAD!!
Thanks for the response, @Belkatem.
We're sorry for the misunderstanding. In this case, we recommend performing a factory reset by following the steps below:
Locate the reset button on your Roku device, which is usually on the back or bottom.
Ensure your Roku TV is powered on.
Press and hold the reset button for exactly 10 seconds.
Watch for a fast-blinking light, indicating that the reset is in progress.
Once the light blinks at a normal rate, release the button.
Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we'll continue assisting you from there.
All the best,
Chel
