I subscribed to MAX via Roku and find that I have to turn my TV volume to 100 to get a decent audio level. All the other channels run around 20.  Any way we can get the audio level on MAX boosted?

Adjust volume modes during playback

When streaming a movie, TV show, music, or Bluetooth® audio or watching content from an external device connected to your Roku TV and wireless speakers (e.g., Blu-ray™ player, cable set-top box, game console), you can enable Automatic Volume Leveling or Night Mode from the Options menu, as described below.

1. Begin streaming content, or to adjust audio settings for a device connected to your Roku TV and wireless speakers, switch the active input to the external device.
   
   • Note: If you have a Roku Streambar or Roku Smart Soundbar and you are watching content from an external device connected to your TV, you cannot adjust audio settings during playback. You can, however, adjust audio settings from the settings menu using instructions in the next section.
2. Press Star on your Roku remote
3. Select Sound settings
   
   • Note: On some Roku devices, this step is not necessary. If you do not see this selection, skip to step 4.
4. Use the directional pad to switch Volume mode to the desired setting. The directional pad is plus-shaped and is in the center of your Roku remote.
   
   
   • Off: Volume modes are inactive and content volume is unmodified.
   • Leveling: Enables consistent volume across different types of entertainment so you do not have to change the volume every time you switch channels or a commercial comes on.
   • Night: The volume of soft sounds like whispering is increased while the volume of loud sounds like explosions is decreased, making it easier to hear your show at night without disturbing others.

•  In some streaming channels, Star is assigned a different function meaning it will not open the Options menu as described above. In these cases, you must launch a different channel, such as The Roku Channel, and follow the steps above. Once the volume mode is switched, the setting will remain when you return to the original channel.

I am having this issue with the Max Channel App also  in order to hear anything on the channel app on any of my 3 Roku Tv's and one Roku Player I must Turn the TV volume to 100%  and still can not hear most of the Dialog or background sounds on any programming on this Channel App.

We understand you're having a problem with the Max channel. We're happy to assist you. Please try the troubleshooting steps that @RokuArjiemar provided above.

If the problem still persists, please update the channel by highlighting the channel tile, pressing the star button on your Roku remote, and selecting check for updates.

I have checked for updates every time I start the Max app, on each of my Televisions and my stand alone Roku,  I still have to turn the Volume to 100% on each Television, and can just barely hear the volume., on every Television,  this also happened when it was the HBO MAX app.

This is a problem for everyone including Apple TV users. Warner Discovery obviously can’t make an app properly pretty pathetic like the company in general.
