Just hoping for the good old channel of Local on the 8s! I of course know i could likely watch some normal channel or something for the news. But I grew up with local on the 8s and have seen someone with a Roku have it on there tv! Yes i tried the weather channel app, i didn’t see it there but maybe I’m blind. Please let me know if anyone has any info on where i could watch it! Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out for support on how to watch local channels using your Roku device.

First, could you clarify whether you are using a Roku TV? If you are not, please note that Roku streaming devices connected to non-Roku TVs do not support over-the-air (OTA) live TV channels. In that case, you can switch inputs to your TV's physical remote.

However, if you are using a Roku TV and the Live TV option is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV Inputs > Live TV > Set Up Input. If you have already set up your Live TV input, the option you will see is to rescan.

To access your OTA live TV channels more easily, look for the Live TV Guide icon instead of the Live TV option on The Roku Channel.

As far as I could tell (and I had to resort to Wikipedia so not sure how accurate), the local on the 8s is still showing on the Weather Channel at "approximately" 18 and 48 minutes each hour.
