Had to do a factory reset on my TV, I am able to connect to my Internet with an excellent signal strength, but I cannot do the system update, and I get error code 008. I have unplugged my TV and router and tried it again and that did not work. I manually reset the TV with the manual button on the back, tried again, and that did not work. I powered off the TV through the power off menu option, and that did not work. I’ve tried downloading the system update on a different Wi-Fi and that did not work. I’m a little lost on what else to try.
Hi @Shalei,
Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention.
You may be able to download the update from Roku | TV USB Updater. You'll need the Roku model number that's displayed under Settings > System > About. You can also try connecting to an alternate network, like your phone's hotspot, to get the TV to update itself. A wired connection or Ethernet cable might also help in securing a connection within the device.
Keep us posted.

I am having a similar problem as the poster above, which also started after a factory reset. Any connection I use brings back error code 008, but when I put the update file on a USB and plug it in, everything goes fine until I have to put in the last 5 digit code from the website you linked. From there, I get "Software update failed. Please try again." No error code, no explanation for why it failed, nothing.
