Hi @Jimmi,
Thanks for letting us know.
We understand that you're having display issues when streaming. We're happy to look into this.
Could you please send us a photo of the said color issues? Also, may we know what channels are affected by this and when the issue started? What steps have you taken so far?
Please keep us updated so we can provide you with an accurate resolution.
All the best,
Janadee
My Roku TV is about 6 months old. Today is the first day I noticed the dark picture when streaming anything. I tried the menus as well as pressing star on my remote and none of the settings fixed it. I then unplugged the tv from the wall, software update, power restart through settings-system-power-restart. I checked it and it seemed to work fine. Hopefully I don’t have anymore issues anytime soon as this is a new tv. Best of luck to the rest of you.
I'm having the same issue with my 55" Roku TV. The power plug is in an inconvenient spot and unplugging it is becoming annoying.
@TAJ68PR, instead of unplugging it, can you just perform a "System restart" from Settings->System->Power? It's still a pain, but easier than unplugging it if it works.
Thanks for the reply I will try that next time it happens. Is this something normal why can't Roku fix this.
This just happened to me. Exactly as you described, my 55’ Roku TV suddenly has major color issues and it’s only when I stream content from an app (Hulu, HBO Max, Netflix…).
So frustrating, my tv is less than 6 month old.
Mine did this this morning for the 2nd time in the past 12 months. It is a 4 year old 43inch TCL Roku Tv.
Each time I have noticed 2 things:
1. System restart via Remote, via settings, or just unplugging it for several minutes, works. If you have it plugged into a surge protector, simply turning that off for several minutes also works.
2. If you look at your picture settings after the restart, you will find your tv picture setting is changed. It seems that the Vivid picture mode is the major issue causing this, but for those who prefer the vivid mode, try the sports mode, it looks extremely similar.
For those who don't know, ALL smart tv's need to be power cycled periodically. If you notice that your tv menu is not as responsive as it should be, try power cycling your tv.
