TCL Roku TV here: Recently, I've observed that occasionally, when I start a movie or show streaming from my Apple TV, I got a quick pop-up window requesting me to look for like series or whatever. It consistently displays the Roku branding—a white asterisk on a purpleish background.
I ask in part because the Apple TV's purported privacy was one of the factors that led me to convert, so it would be disappointing if the television had discovered a way to monitor what I was watching.
