Broken TV from just setting it down on a table face first

Jump to solution

my roku tv screen is so sensitive!... I as carrying my 65" tv to another room and set it face down on the table to re adjust my position to put the tv.... well the back portion of the tv was so heavy that at the corner of the table cracked the screen... no it is not my position to drop on the table.. i simply set it down and the weight of the tv forced it to crack... I can recreate the issue to show how i set it down and it cracks.. The screen is way to sensitive/fragile .... so out of pocket cash for this overly sensitive screen. I have several tv's computer monitors, laptop that I have down things like drop, or pack to hard for a move and nothing has ever happened to them...very distraught that a tv you can not set down on its screen

Hi @hotpay65

We're sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing.

Have you tried contacting the TV manufacturer to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

@hotpay65, I feel for you.  I did something very similar a few years ago with a brand new TV.  It wasn't a Roku TV, but I was told it's not worth fixing from the manufacturer and certainly wasn't covered under any warranty.  Roku doesn't make the TVs and I'd be willing to bet you'll hear the same thing from the manufacturer. 😔
