Transaction validation returns UNAUTHORIZED error.

My success was due to changing my password from the very strong one that included several symbols to one that included only symbols in a common subset used in a lot of code where you can only use limited ones. I had noticed that the website took this more complex password but the roku app gave me an Unauthorized error when I tried to log in. If I tried to create a new account with that same complex password using the Roku app, I saw an error about using ASCII symbols and guessed from there.

You could test my theory by changing your password to contain just one symbol and use an ampersand or dollar sign and see if that lets the roku app then log in.

Not a guarantee - just what I've tested through to resolve my own problem.

Hi Slyraven,

Unfortunately you are describing a login to Roku from the Roku device. My case relates to an HTTP call from the Backend Java code.

There is no password involved, only Security token and a Roku ID.

I also changed my more complex password, and that worked for me too!

Going to Amc’s website worked!! Just reset your pw there and it worked! Too bad I had to cancel my account first.
