YouTube can’t connect to wifi. I’ve tried everything to no avail!! HELP

Jump to solution

Hey, I’m new here to the roku community. I got my roku tv on Christmas and so far i love it! Until now…YouTube isn’t connecting to my wifi even though it’s strong and even have a wifi extender to keep the connection strong. I’ve done everything:

-factory reset

-unplugged my modem and tv

-removed app and checked wifi

-updated app and tv

Still shows that it can’t find the WiFi

Thank you for reporting this issue to the Roku Community!

We understand that you are having issues with YouTube. We appreciate the steps you have taken. Could you tell us if the issue is only persistent with this app? If so, we would recommend the basic troubleshooting sequence below:

  1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
  2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
  3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel
Additionally, please try connecting your Roku device to a mobile hotspot to see if streaming improves.

We hope this helps. Let us know if you have further inquiries.

All the best,
Janadee
