Re: Would like to watch TCM, ABC, NBC, CBS and the History Channel

Search and see if there are Roku apps for each of those networks/channels that fit what you are wanting to watch.  Some may have free apps for viewing, some will require a stand-alone subscription that you have to pay, and some will require a subscription package or will be part of a subscription package that you will have to subscribe and pay a monthly fee, similar to how you would view channels as part of a cable TV subscription.  Some local networks may also have over the air options that you can view via free live channels or an antenna.  Best thing to do is search for the channels you are looking to watch and see what your options are and choose the channels that best suit your needs and at the cost you are willing to pay.

Looks like you posted your question twice.

Keep in mind that some of the local network apps that are free may restrict some content or not have all content available for streaming.

Re: Would like to watch TCM, ABC, NBC, CBS and the History Channel

Hi, @rcketsci

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We appreciate your inquiry about watching content on TCM, NBC, CBC, and the History Channel, and we're here to help.

The channels you have mentioned are available to be streamed on the Roku platform. First, you would need to install these apps individually. Please take note that some apps or channels may require subscriptions to access their content.

To install channels, follow the steps below:

Adding apps from your Roku device

  1. Press Home

     on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Store
  3. Select Channels, then browse by genre, recommended, featured, top free, and other categories
  4. When you want to learn more about an app, press OK on your remote
  5. If the app is free, select Add channel; if the app requires a subscription, select OK to start a free trial or purchase a subscription

The app will be added to the bottom of the list of apps on the home screen. If you prefer, the app can be moved higher up the list.

For more information, you can visit this support article on How to add apps to your Roku streaming device

We hope this helps, and let us know if you have further concerns or inquries.

Thanks,
Kash
