Streaming channels turn off after playing shows for a few mi

Jump to solution

I have a sharp TV and reg cable channels are smooth with no interference or glitches. My wifi is strong but when I go to watch a streaming channel(prime, Apple TV) the shows will play for a bit then pause and the tv goes back to the main Roku home page. I have reset the tv, cleaned up unused apps, changed batteries but it still keeps doing it?

Hello! @Freddie1,

A friendly welcome from the Roku Community!

We appreciate your reaching out to us. We're pleased to assist.

  • Does the issue occur on only this channel, multiple channels, or all channels?
  • Does this occur during TV show/movie playback, ads, etc.?
  • A specific movie or TV show (season and episode) is an example where the issue occurs.

We recommend performing the below steps to see if you can resolve the issue:

1. Remove the channel from the Roku device

2. Power cycle the Roku device, by disconnecting it from the power cable and reconnecting the device back to the power.

3. Re-add the channel back to the Roku device

Let's see how it goes.

Thanks,

Arjiemar
