Hi, @Nessabear83

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We understand the playback issue you've encountered with the Spotify app and appreciate your efforts in the attempt to resolve the issue. We would suggest performing a system update to ensure that your current Roku device is running the latest software version. Please be guided on the steps below:

  1. Press Home

     on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Software update
  5. Select Check Now to manually check for updates
  • Tip: The System update screen displays the current software and build version, along with the date and time of the latest update.

If there is new software available or there are updates for your apps, then your Roku device will download and install them automatically and once completed, your device will reboot.

For more information, you can visit this Roku official support article on How to update the software on your Roku streaming device

We hope this works! Let us know what you find out, we'll continue to assist you.

Best wishes,
Kash
