I have a brand new Roku TCL that has the same issue with Roku Live mostly. Also has done it with amazon prime. Software is updated.
Hi @jazmynpuma,
Thanks for keeping the Roku Community posted!
We'd like to help you out with this issue you're running into, but we'll need more information regarding this.
The Roku Channel live TV is free ad content that doesn't need credentials. Could you tell us more if this is an issue with multiple channels on your TCL Roku TV?
If you haven't tried some troubleshooting, we would recommend checking for more help here on how to resolve a channel playback issue.
Let us know more about this or if the troubleshooting steps provided help.
Thanks,
Rey
Mostly an issue with Roku Live, but sometimes other channels like amazon prime logs out. Sometimes after a couple hours or after 6+ hours. It seems random
Did anyone figure out how to fix this? I have same issue. Anytime I watch a paid cable TV app like ESPN, TNT. CNBC, etc I have to constantly login. This is beyond annoying and the user experience is horrible. You should only have to login once per cable tv app and that should suffice. I have been using Windows Media Center with a Verizon Fios cable tv card using Ceton since 2013 and it is a superior experience to surf paid cable network channels but on occasion I will need to use the Roku app that is embedded on our TCL TV’s or outdoor movie projector using the Roku stick.
Roku product management please listen up: Please make a universal Roku login like Google does so once you login into a paid cable tv app like ESPN, TNT, CNBC, etc that it will remember your credentials so people do not have to constantly login with their cable service provider or paid app provider.
We recently got a new TCL TV and it has Google Android. I found the product difficult to setup vs Roku but one thing they do well is at least once you login to a paid cable channel like ESPN Google remembers your login credentials and you do not need to constantly log back in.
Thanks! - Nick
