Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
If you don’t want to see ad’s on the Home Screen, ditch the Roku and buy an AppleTV. No ads on the Home Screen.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
@dondoveeb Thanks for the post!
I appreciate your feedback. As @RokuCarly mentioned, you can hide certain ad types and replace them with an alternative ad to remove those ads from your home screen.
Here are the instructions for doing so: Highlight the channel tile, press the star (*) button on your remote, select Hide this ad, and press OK.
If you need further assistance, just let us know! We are here to help and listen.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team

Jharra, If you google "disingenuous" or "obtuse" your reply here is cited as an example of both. You know this isn't what anyone's asking about.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
Ive tried every conceivable option to remove the unwanted propaganda from my roku home screen. I got rid of cable because of annoying ads. With cutting the cable many years ago. I still get force fed unwanted ads. Roku is even in the mix with this. I want a clean home screen. No force fed propaganda. I've been debating whether or not to take my roku out back. Get my 10lb sledge hammer. And finally get rid of unwanted ads. And never go back to roku. On second thought. I'm heading outside now. Bye bye roku.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
You know that when you get a moderator reply it's all bs. Something to appease the customer. Do you really think it's about customer satisfaction? Hahahaha. No it's not. It's about the bottom line. It's all about making money. Today is the last day I will have my 4 rokus. They are not got to goodwill or second hand store to be resold. My sledge hammer will make sure of that. Bye bye ads and bye bye roku.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
Carly,
I've been a roku user for years. When roku first came out. You talk about you will relay all of our concerns to your team. Apparently your team doesn't care what you tell them because nothing. And I mean nothing has changed. And please do not reply with I'll tell my team **bleep**. Action speaks volumes above lip service. I am getting rid of all my roku devices. I'm advising others to do the same. Because of not listening to what customers are screaming about not wanting. You've lost a long time user and I will be a voice for anyone who asks me about roku.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
If the pop up ads don’t get removed then I’m ditching Roku for an Apple Tv.
Charge more for the hardware and eliminate all ads.

Re: Removing Ads on Home Screen
I'm a long-time user of multiple Rokus, always bought for their simplicity and clean ad-free interfaces. But the introduction of ads to the device is not something I've agreed to and Roku has changed the functionality of the devices which I purchased and which I own outright. If all the advertising is not removed then I consider myself entitled to return the devices for a full refund. Note to Roku CEO: your customers are not happy, fix this now.
