My problem too.
Hi @RainCountry,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
I'd be happy to take a closer look to see how we can help get you up and running.
A few questions here to better understand what you're experiencing:
1. Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku device?
2. Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or all channels on your Roku device?
3. Are you receiving error messages or codes when accessing the channel?
4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
As a first step, we would recommend taking a look at our Support page for a more helpful FAQ article that walks through the most common troubleshooting steps to assist you. Get started here: Official Roku Support | Roku Device Questions & Troubleshooting
With more information, we will be able to assist you further.
Best regards,
Mary
I have 4 Roku devices (1 Roku Streambar Pro, 2 Roku Smart Soundbar, 1 Roku Ultra) that I currently use. I also have several Amazon Fire TV Cubes and Apple 4K devices. All the Roku devices have an issue streaming Apple +, none of the other devices have an issue. All are wirelessly connected. The problem is that it will play a movie and multiple times the Roku will pause or skip and sound drops out. Not sure if it's the app or the Roku device.
Thanks for the post.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
Danny
Danny, thanks for the reply. I have good news and . . . other news. After about two weeks of Apple TV not loading via Roku, I had given up but decided to try one more time. You guessed it, loaded right up and has ever since. I had done nothing to facilitate this resusitation. The other news is I have no idea why it stopped working or resumed working; leaves me feeling a little vulnerable. Thanks again.
John
I set the streaming resolution to 720p. Which was mentioned in another thread. The setting was in the apple app. The resolution didn’t actually change (still 4k). But the issue appears to have gone away.
Same problem here. Apple TV+ just stopped working on my Roku. It worked well until a couple of days ago but now, whatever I select, it just buffers eternally and never plays.
I have tried uninstalling the Apple TV+, restarting the Roku and reinstalling. It worked for one single episode then back to loading eternally and not playing. I have also tried all other workarounds, setting to dolby, 720, turning off the framework option and nothing works.
All other apps work flawlessly, except Apple TV+.
@mmk77 Changing the audio options worked for me...3 months now. I know you said you switched to Dolby, but maybe try what I did. Can't hurt right? Not sure if we have the same Roku model, so your options may vary. I don't remember which setting I actually changed, but here are my current audio settings:
Audio Mode - Auto (Stereo)
Streaming Audio Format - Auto
Digital Output Format - Stereo
I still find it hard to believe that it worked, but it did. Good luck!
@Over_It Thanks a lot for sharing!
I've tried your settings but unfortunately they didn't work. I also tried restarting the device, uninstalling/reinstalling Apple TV+, and turning on/off auto-frame adjust. But all to no success.
While this is not a technical fix it worked for me. I was not able to load some of the serial programs. We tried all of the fixes here. Nothing worked.
Also it was just on certain shows. Most movies loaded fine.
To work around it I went to my Apple phone and pulled up the show. It loaded fine. I went into it about 9 minutes and stopped it. Then went to my Roku and pulled it up. I backed up the content to the recap which I didn’t need to see and watched my show. Not the best fix but one I can live with.
