Purchased HBO Max through Roku and can not watch on the other Roku device

Jump to solution

Yes. I have the same issue. I paid for Max through Roku on my living room tv.  But, using the same roku account on another tv, Max wants me to renew my subscription and pay again.  What’s the solution here?

Hi @Cjlevy78,

Thanks for joining us here in the Roku Community!

We'd be glad to have your support here, and thanks for reaching out. Suppose you have the MAX subscription billed through Roku. Though we have a feature called Automatic Account Link that automatically signs you into any supported apps that you have already logged into on your existing Roku device, but this will vary depending on the channel itself, and you may be required to enter the username and password again on the other Roku device.

Try launching the app on your existing Roku device and see if you're asked to enter your username and password. Some subscriptions may periodically request a user reenter their account credentials.

Or get additional help with our support page here: How to set up, or sync, subscription channels in your account on a second Roku® streaming device.

Thanks,
Rey
