Paramount + Dolby vision not working

I have a Roku ultra 2024 and when playing anything on paramount + that shows to have Dolby vision it will not play on Dolby vision. Netflix and other apps are working fine with Dolby vision.

The other day Paramount fixed Atmos/Dolby audio that wasn’t working so maybe they broke Dolby Vision in the process. 

What are you trying to watch in Dolby Vision?

I appreciate you sharing your concern regarding Paramount+'s Dolby Vision issue with us, and I'm here to assist you in getting the right support to resolve the issue.

For this matter, it is recommended that you contact Paramout+ support and inquire further about the issue. Since Paramount+ is the only app where Dolby Vision is not working, this indicates an existing issue with their content and app. Once this has been brought to their attention, they can provide you with a workaround or develop an update to their app to resolve the issue.

To contact them, you can refer to Paramount+ Support.

I can confirm Dolby Vision isn’t working on a Roku Ultra 2024 streaming gladiator 2 on Paramount +.  How disappointing they fixed the Atmos issue and broke DV. 

Roku, please inform P+ for us.

Same here. I don't get Dolby Vision on Roku streaming stick 4K when watching TG Maverick.

Somebody at P+ is really screwing this again and again. Maybe that person is trying to get fired, just saying. A few days ago I was getting both Atmos and Dolby Vision. Now I don't.

I would be happy to assist you further with your Paramount Plus issue on your Roku device.

Follow the steps below and let us know if it works.

  • Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  • Restart your Roku device: You can restart the device from the settings menu. Go to Settings > System > System restart > Restart.
  • Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

I appreciate your response but I’m not going to put much effort into this as I have chosen not to renew P+.  Maybe next time I do, I’ll get it through Amazon and see if that’s more dependable for Atmos and DV, etc. 

I do find it humorous (no offense) that one of your troubleshooting steps is to remove the app. I can’t. I’ve tried before but the remove option isn’t available and I can only assume it’s because I have an active subscription with them. 

Next month when my subscription has ended I hope I can remove it at that time.

If you're unable to remove an app on Roku, it may be due to an active subscription linked to your account. Even if you canceled future payments, you might need to wait for the current billing cycle to end before you can fully remove the app.

To check if the app is updated, highlight it, press the star * button, and select "Update." If the issue is with Paramount+, consider contacting their support team for help.

Paramount+ will do something only if you, Roku, ask them. I wasted my time many times with inept reps from there who didn't do anything to fix the issue. Roku helped fast when initially the surround sound issue was discovered. It came back again, at least on my device and also no more Dolby Vision, in about the same time.
