@nmxn, unfortunately there's no easy way to fix it. It's far too easy to confuse the Roku system when you set up an Account. The only way to fix it is to close the current account (make sure you cancel any subscriptions shown under https://my.roku.com/account/subscriptions before you do), create a new account ensuring it's a US account, factory reset your Roku device, and link it to the new account.
When you create the new account you'll want to either clear your browser's cookies, use a private browsing window, use a different browser, or use a different device altogether. When you create the new account at https://my.roku.com/signup , scan the entire page for a "Language selector", "Country selector", or a little flag of another country. I've noticed the US page doesn't have it.

It's not related, but I suggest once you create a new account you add a PIN to protect you from unwittingly making purchases. That's another thing that's far too easy to do.

Thank you renojim,
Your suggestion is exactly what I was thinking before my last msg to you. I will go thru all of the links you've provided before I start the process of setting up a new account. I really want Roku to work, I'm seeing the potential to get rid of our DishTV acct.
On a different subject, based on your username, do you live in Reno, NV? I have grand-kids that live there.
Thanks again for your help. It's much appreciated.

@nmxn wrote:The genre search method is terrible. Why isn't there at least an alphabetical search?
I believe all the genre searches are listed by popularity (number of installations across user devices).
The best you can do for alphabetical searching is to use either the "Search" or "Streaming Channels" Search from home page and then type in the first letter only. This will produce an alphabetical list. (ie. simply typing "a" in the search field).

I sure do! And my name's Jim. I'm not very creative when it comes to creating a username.
Someone should at least come out with a printable channel line up for the live TV
You can use this one for the Roku Channel Live TV until Roku develops an official one.

It's probably time to put this thread to rest.
