Last Update Removed my Live TV (over the air) Icon

I tried the recommended solution of "Hide Streaming Channels" in another post but after the reboot, the old TV (over air) icon was still absent.

I did sort it out by doing this:

Setting>TV Inputs> scroll right and down to locate the OLD TV Icon

Rename it to something else on the list (I changed my to "Antenna TV")

The new icon now appears where the original had been

Hope this might help someone

Also, your live TV may now be flooded with live streaming channels which makes it difficult to find your antenna channels. You can hide the live stream channels as follows: Settings -> TV inputs -> Live TV -> Manage channels -> Check the box next to Hide streaming channels.

Re: Last Update Removed my Live TV (over the air) Icon

We're grateful to have you here in the Roku Community, @Nikki_R!

Thanks for sharing your resolution here. You may also want to check the Live TV Guide icon which will show all of your OTA antenna channels instead of the Live TV on The Roku Channel.

Nonetheless, we appreciate you stopping by. Feel free to reach out if there's anything we can help. You may also visit our support website for additional troubleshooting resources.

We hope you continue to have a Happy Streaming! 💜

Best regards,
Carly

Re: Last Update Removed my Live TV (over the air) Icon

I have tried everything everyone has suggested with no luck.  I even factory reset the tv and still no luck.  Another riddle.
Any other suggestions.  Hubby is bummed man!

We're grateful to have you here in the Roku Community, @GroovyG!

We appreciate you reaching out for support and we'd be more than happy to help you stream your OTA Live TV channels.

Can you confirm if you can find the white tile that says "Live TV Guide" and try to access this if you can find your OTA Live TV channels through this?

  • Note: If Live TV is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up input. If the option available is rescan, it means you've already set up your Antenna.

Let us know how it goes and we'll go from there.

Best regards,
Carly

Re: Last Update Removed my Live TV (over the air) Icon

I tried everything you stated.  My local (local to me in the Traverse city and Cadillac, MI area) channels will not show in the Live TV Guide.  And my regular Live Tv app icon is gone.  I even went into settings to rename it as someone suggested but no results.  Nothing anyone has done and suggested has helped me with this.  I don't understand why this is so difficult.  Why is icon gone anyway.  This is really starting to tick me off.  The only way for me to get to my local channels is to do another scan where I can to "watch live tv".  This makes no sense.
