Re: How to pick a specific episode using mobile device to watch

Jump to solution

We appreciate your rapid response, @BakeOffWatcher.

We are happy to continue assisting.

Just to confirm, the Great British Baking Show and Celebrity British Baking Show on the mobile app version of Roku are the only shows affected by the issue. Also, is that the software version for your Roku mobile app? If so, could you try to update it to the latest version and see if the same issue occurs? Lastly, could you also send us a screenshot of the issue you're referring to on the app?

Your response is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Janadee

I have updated to the above version. I don’t think a screenshot of the current behavior is going to help you but here is a detailed description. You should give this a try to see if you can reproduce it.

I’m not saying that it only happens with GBBS but that’s the only show that I have tested since I watch all my other shows on different platforms.

So all that said, this is what happens when I rewatch GBBS. Note that when I originally watched the episodes, I let the app move on to the next episode and so watched it fully but when I rewatch (letting the app move automatically to the next episode) it’s like it sets the running time to slightly before the end and so when I move to the next there is a short snippet left to watch instead of starting at the beginning.

If the app is doing this on purpose for times when the viewer doesn’t finish the episode, it should know to not do this when the episode is completed.

Let me know if there is an email address I can use to send a video as that is easier to understand the behavior.

Hello! @BakeOffWatcher,

Thanks for the post,

  • Does updating the device OS fix the issue?:
  • Does signing out of the account and back in fix?:
  • Does deleting/redownloading the app fix it?

Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we will be happy to continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks,

Arjiemar

None of these things helped. Did you try to reproduce it?

@BakeOffWatcher,

Thanks for the update,

We would be more than happy to investigate further, but we will need further details. Can you please provide us with the following information:

  • Mobile phone make/model & mobile OS (Android/iOS) version:
  • App version:
  • Where on the app does this occur?:
  • If possible video and/or picture of the issue:

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
We look forward to working with you to help resolve this issue.

Thanks,

Arjiemar

@BakeOffWatcher,

Depending on your starting point, you choose one or more images, choose the album where they'll be located, and upload them. There are size limitations, of course, and a community moderator must approve your images before others can see them. You can upload images from:

  • Your Albums and Images page
  • Any of your individual Album pages
  • Post Message, Answer, Comment, Article, and other Post pages

Thanks,

Arjiemar
