We appreciate your inquiry for support with disabling the Live TV on your Roku device, and we're here to provide you with steps that you can perform to make the Live TV not visible.

Follow the steps below.

1. Press Home  on your Roku remote
2. Scroll and select Settings
3. Select Home screen
4. Select Shortcuts
5. Scroll to Live TV
6. Press OK  on your remote to hide (unchecked) or show (checked) the shortcut

Note: Once this has been performed, the Live TV will no longer be shown on the Home Screen but will still be available when you search it since it is a built-in app as part of the Roku platform.

This doesn't help at all because we can still access Live TV. I need to have it permanently disabled.

As advised, the Roku Live TV Channel Guide cannot be removed or permanently deleted since it is a built-in app and part of the Roku streaming guide to access live TV channels offered by Roku and other platforms.
