This is pretty bad, our Recommended Next Search's show Live Nude Girls, Getting Naked, Sex, Orgasms, etc. and none of us in the house are watching this. There's a based on my resent searches row which I have no problem with because it's obviously tailored to what we watch but that random Recommend Next Searches is garbage and the recommendations aren't based on anything we watch. They need to stop that or at least give us an option to disable it and no hiding Recommendation Rows does not fix it.

Welcome, and thank you for posting here in the Roku Community, @IROC-ROB!
We appreciate you reaching out for support. Rest assured that we'll help you hide these certain recommendations for you.
To hide the content row and have uninterrupted access to your favorite applications, go to Settings > Home screen > Layout > Recommendation rows and select Hide.
We hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if there's anything else you'd like us to assist you with.
Happy Streaming! 💜

Yeah. That option DOES NOT hide this trash row. I even tried to search a bunch of kids stuff and to then rebooted but nope, still full of explicit **bleep**. I’m ready to toss Roku out of this isn’t resolved. My kids (nor myself) do not need to see this stuff. Even just the names and title posters are awful. Please allow us to turn this off.
Haha! I just noticed the “bleep” line above in my previous post. You’ll censor out “c”r”a”p” but allow titles in our recommended search with far worse words than that? Cmon now. Help your users out please!
Has anyone been able to figure a way to clear the cache or remove "Recommended Next Searches" within the search option. This is pretty annoying to see the content that is listed here.
Hi, @fischer5 @HELPMEPLEASE4.
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We completely understand the trouble this may have caused most importantly when there are kids streaming. No worries! We're happy to share some steps to help you manage this.
Your Roku streaming device does not offer a global parental control setting to restrict access to content across all streaming channels, but you can configure access limits based on ratings in certain situations.
The Roku Channel uses a PIN-based playback control for parental controls. When enabled, a PIN is required to watch certain content based on selected rating levels.
In addition to restricting playback on The Roku Channel, your PIN preferences can be configured to require that you enter your 4-digit code any time a streaming channel is added or a request is made to sign up for a subscription billed to your Roku account.
For further details about this, you may visit our support article dedicated to this: How to block content using parental controls
Furthermore, we would also recommend this support article that may help you hide sensitive content: How to manage ad preferences
We hope you find this information helpful.
Best regards,
Carly
Just curious. Are you in the Roku search or some other app search. I'm not seeing that category in the Roku search, but I do see it in other apps such as Netflix, Amazon, etc.
We are having the same problem! It just appeared a few days ago and I have no idea how to get rid of it! 🤬
Thanks, but this answer does not address the problem. There is a row under searches called “Recommended Next Searches” that cannot be hidden or reset. It suggests inappropriate content.
Hiding recommended rows under Home Screen settings does nothing. Using the PIN does nothing. Factory reset does nothing. Deleting the channels where these movies/shows are found does nothing. Doing a bunch of new searches does nothing.
it seems to be attached to the account, because all of our Rokus started showing the same suggestions at the same time
Users need to be able to remove or reset this row.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @Forboda!
