so I currently own a Roku 4k and only my Netflix app will give me Dolby atmos. Anyone out there with a Roku ultra that can confirm apps like Apple TV, prime, max can play Dolby atmos on it?
You are not being specific about which Roku you have. They are all 4K except for the Express. You did mention Ultra later, but there's eight different versions of the Ultra.
For Atmos, it appears your device supports it, since you do get it from Netflix. So the issue isn't the Roku. Different providers only offer Atmos audio under specific levels of service. And then some providers simply have little content with Atmos (Prime Video, I'm looking at you). Same thing with MAX. I used to get 4K/Atmos on MAX, but they added a new top level tier and my plan is the next one down. So I no longer get 4K/Atmos on MAX. I don't use Apple TV, so can't speak to that. But since you get Atmos from Netflix, then you can get it from any service that offers content with it. But it's dependent on the provider if you actually get Atmos from any of their content.
Disney+ is the only provider that appears to provide 4K/Atmos on much of their content. I do have a lot of content that I have purchased (digital copy on many Blu Ray movies I've purchased) that I can view on Vudu (now Fandango) or Movies Anywhere that I can get Atmos audio. But I can access those same titles on Prime Video and they don't always offer my 4K content in 4K, so they are not my first go-to if I'm going to stream one of my digital copies.

I have the express 4k currently. And I was asking about the ultra model. Per the Roku website there is only 1 ultra model , I can’t seem to find the other 7 versions u were referring to. I called Disney and u are correct , I would have to pay more for atmos, so thanks for sending me in the right direction

Sorry, I didn't get an alert that you responded. Yes, the current Ultra provides Atmos if the provider offers it. When I said there were more versions, I was referring to previous models, not the one currently available. I thought you already had one of the Ultra models. So depending on the provider you are using, you can get Atmos (along with Dolby Vision) with the Ultra.
