Does anyone know what's going on with Fright Flix?

As my title says, does anyone know what's going on with the Fright Flix channel? For the past few weeks or more, all that plays are the same 2 or 3 movies. I've deleted and reinstalled the channel with no change. This used to be a great channel but having seen all 3 or so of these movies, I have no desire to watch them again.

Could you tell us more about the issue you have with the Fright Flix channel? Do you encounter any error messages? Are all the other streaming channels operating normally? How long has the issue existed?

No error codes. All that plays are the same 2 or 3 movies constantly. I don't know the names of them, but one is 4 guys on a camping trip, one is a Russian movie about a mother and son traveling to Finland and the Finn's eating any outsiders and the 3rd is another foreign movie from Europe.  It's been like this for at least a few weeks. I have deleted Fright Flix, rebooted my Roku and then reinstalled Fright Flix with no change. 

 

I'm wondering if anyone at the Network knows what's going on or if they are just going to let it die.

To ensure the process of removing and re-adding the Fright Flix channel is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. from the Settings menu by navigating to  Settings > System > System restart > Restart. However, if it still has no dice and the issue is only with the channel alone, this is a good indication that there is likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher. Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to Fright Flix support directly to share your feedback.

I did that, delete, reboot, reinstall. Same thing. Noticed last night that they are only playing 2 movies in rotation, one with 4 guys in the woods camping and one foreign one with a couple of younger men. Seems to me that Fright Flix is either having major issues or are on their way out.

I do not have contact information for Fright Flix. If you do, please let me know and I'd reach out to them to see what is going on. Kind of disheartening that no one else has commented on this issue. Does anyone watch this channel?

Well, it seems Fright Flix must have forgotten to pay somebody as for the past 3 or 4 weeks, all that is being played on this channel is one sick eastern European movie. Since no one seems to know what's going on in this forum and that the owner never responded to my inquire into what is going on - even though they acknowledged my email and promised to get back to me - guess it's time to dump it. I don't know what's going on with Roku but it sure is having issues with a lot of channels now, neither one of American Horrors Channel both regular and Classic work and B-Movie looks like it is back from the dead back in the VCR days. Just **bleep** on mostly.

Additionally, kindly tell us more about the channels you've mentioned that have playback issues. We'd love to take a closer look at this one and find you the most accurate resolution possible. Hello,

I did reach out to the owner of Fright Flix and received an "auto reply" thanking me for my inquire and that "someone will be in touch with you shortly". Been well over 2 (3?) weeks now with nothing from them. All the channel plays is the same movie over and over again, some "torture porn" movie I think out of eastern Europe. They have had issues for awhile with a few months of repeating 3 movies in a row and now it's down to 1.

American Horrors and American Horror's Classic channels do not work at all. One (classic) said I have "slow internet or there is an issue with the channel". American Horror's just attempts to load and reaches 13% and hangs there. I also reached out to the owner, Hart Fisher and he replied that his service crashed and they would be up shortly. That was a month ago. I reached out again to him a week ago and have received no reply.

I understand B-Zone TV had issues with your streaming software and they were also off the air for quite awhile but now are back, IE with a channel that looks straight out of the 80's VCR era.

While I never received any replies to my emails to Fright Flix owners, it has recently returned to normal broadcasting. I still find it odd that no one replies to any inquires on this forum on any of these "Horror" live feed channels.  I cannot be the only person watching them.

Also, I am finding a LOT of channels no longer work on Roku that I have saved and watched for years.

If it keeps up, I do not think I will be replacing my present ROKU when it decides to die again.

If you are already in touch with the channel provider's support team, we recommend continuing to work with them, as they would best assist you moving forward.

It is important to keep in mind that we do not program any apps for our channel partners. They will provide a variety of app bundles tailored to the platform, and the channel partner is solely responsible for managing these apps.

Because there may be some instances in which the particular channel provider demands additional information or facts about the subscribers that we do not have access to, we recommend that our customers get in touch with the channel provider directly.
