I have my Directv guide set to favorite channels. When i select Jump to Day the guide switches to all channels which is way too many to scroll through to find the future broadcast i am looking for. I have to move back left to the jump to day option them move up 6 steps to favorites to re-select it then move right to finally go into the guide. The app on all Roku devices does this. The app on Firesticks however does what should be done, the guide stays in whichever format you had it in, which is obviously your preferred format.

As advised by @renojim, issues with DIRECTV can be addressed directly by their support team since channel providers directly maintain and manage their own apps.

They may offer a potential workaround or indicate whether an update to their application on the Roku platform is required.

Report it to DirecTV. Roku has no control over their app any more that Amazon does on its devices.
I did initially report it to Directv and of coarse each company blames the other so i would not expect anyone to bother with a fix. Is it the same app that is downloaded for either device? There are other subtle differences in the way the app funtions on the two devices.
Apps on Roku devices are unlike apps on any other device. They have their own language and "operating system". The finger pointing needs to end and providers have to take responsibility for their own apps. In the case of the DirecTV app, the developer is listed as "DIRECTV LLC" on the website. I don't know how they can point the finger at Roku for how their app works.
Thanks that sounds correct. I will continue my post with DirecTv, but i doubt they will include that change in any update.
