Device specific apps instead of being on entire account

Jump to solution

Is there anyway to have apps specific to each tv and not just the account? I am fine with devices my older children having access to apps like YouTube, however we try to be more mindful of what our younger kiddos watch and would just rather keep YouTube off the tv’s they have access to. I know I can add a pin for adding apps but I’m just hoping I can delete it off certain TVs and leave it on others

Sorry, but your channels are connected to your Roku account, not to individual Rokus. Add/delete on one Roku, you add/delete on all Rokus linked to that same account.

You can create multiple Roku accounts using different email addresses and link individual Rokus to them as desired.  Each account can have its own group of channels.

Note that any premium subscriptions you have through Roku are attached to that original Roku account and will not be available on the new account(s) without taking out additional paid subscriptions.  Subscriptions obtained directly from the channels themselves on their website can be installed to and accessed on all Rokus, regardless of the Roku account they are linked to.
