Closed Caption not working

Jump to solution

I have my closed caption on my Roku & Tv. It works on every channel except the Cartoon Network. Contacted cable company & they don’t see a problem.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, @Mrs_Gigi_2024.

We understand that you're having issues with the closed caption feature on the Cartoon Network channel. Could you try the following steps to resolve the issue?

  • Remove the channel >> Restart the device >> Add channel
  • Update the channel by highlighting the channel and pressing the star button on the remote.

Additionally, we would highly recommend that you reach out to the channel provider regarding this feature concern and inquire further about their channel functionality.

We hope this helps.

Janadee

Hey @Mrs_Gigi_2024,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

It's important to note that some channels, like Netflix, have their own closed caption feature within the channel itself. Even if you've already turned on the closed caption in the main settings, it may not appear when you're streaming on that channel.

During playback try looking for the option for a close caption and let us know if you're able to look into it.

Please keep us posted!

Thanks,
Rey
