Close captioning keeps shutting off after pausing or rewinding

Jump to solution

I have close captioning set to always on. It does not matter which app I am using or what I am watching. I am using a Roku express 4K plus. My system is up-to-date and was last checked on 6/26/23 at 10:35 AM Pacific time.

If I am watching something and I have to pause or rewind it, sometimes when I hit play, the close captioning will no longer work. If a hit the quick rewind, a.k.a. 10 second rewind… Not sure what else to call it then it will work again sometimes it won’t if it won’t and I do that again then it might start working. Sometimes it takes several times of doing that to get it to work. If you go in and check close captioning is still always turned on. It is intermittent. I cannot tell or see any pattern to it. Please help because this is extremely annoying and I rely on closed captioning due to hearing issues.

thank you so much
