Channel Error (60-530b89b9)

Hello! This is the error code I get when trying to resolve the issue with constant spinning of the Classic Movie Time app.

It says this channel is temporarily unavailable. There are no internet connection issues. It says to check with the channel owner for more information.

Can someone assist me? Thank you in advance for any assistance that might be rendered to resolve this issue.

Hi @Carnation,

A warm welcome here in the Roku Community.

We are here to help with the playback issue. After looking into the matter, I was unable to replicate the problem with the Classic FilmTime. Please try the steps below and let us know if they resolve the issue.

  • Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  • Restart your Roku device: Restart the device from the settings menu. Go to Settings > System > System restart > Restart.
  • Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

Might also check for additional troubleshooting steps here: How to resolve a channel playback issue.

We hope this works!

ERey,

Hello again! I followed your instructions with the same channel error message. What does the channel owner say?

Thank you for your time and attention to this problem.

@Carnation,

Thanks for letting us know how things turn out.

We recommend connecting your device to an alternative network, like a mobile hotspot and see if that makes a difference. If the issue persists, it is likely an issue within the channel. We also don't have any direct contact with the channel developer. Most of the channels on Roku are managed directly by the channel providers themselves.

If you see differences with the mobile hotspot, then this is likely an issue based on the error message you're getting.

Regards,
Rey

@Carnation

Looks like Classic Filmtime is back up and running.

It is taking a bit of time to load though, both in opening the channel/app (connecting to library server) and navigating the menus.

If still having a problem, try the Remove, Restart, Reinstall procedure. (remove channel, restart the Roku device, reinstall the channel).

Restarting the router also never hurts either when having a channel/app issue.
