Channel crashing or nothing at all

My Roku crashes so much every single day it’s ridiculous. Happens every 2 minutes on ABC app and Netflix the most. Definitely needs to be fixed.

Hi @Mikaylaguer

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Can you please provide us with more specific information about the issue you are experiencing? Do you encounter any error messages? Are all the other streaming channels operating normally? How long has the issue existed and what troubleshooting done to resolve the issue?

With detailed information, we will be able to assist you better.

Re: Channel crashing or nothing at all

Hi! There is no error message. An example rn is I’m trying to watch the bachelor on ABC, last week it turned off the show and went to the home page after a minute of playing the show 15 times and then I got frustrated and put something else on. Again tonight I tried to play the Bachelor and it’s only been on for 11 minutes as I write this, I put it on and it brought me home 8 times and I gave up and made that comment. It happens constantly on netflix that I no longer use my account, it happens on Hulu, hbo max, every app on my tv. I’ve only had my tv for 2-3 years and I constantly have this issue. My connection is perfect so I’m not sure why it’s happening but it’s extremely frustrating.

Its 4:04 times and glitched 3 times within those 4 minutes.

Re: Channel crashing or nothing at all

Hi @Mikaylaguer

Thank you for keeping in touch!

Have you tried removing the affected channel and then re-install again? If not, we suggest starting there. In some cases, removing the affected channel and then re-installing it may help. Restart your device before re-adding the channel back in to ensure the process is successful. We recommend doing this through the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If there is no Power submenu, proceed to the next step.) > System restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link for more information: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support.

Let us know if there's any difference after.

Warm Regards,
