Apple TV won’t play second episodes and beyond within a series

Same deal. Watching Mythic Quest and I can play episodes 7 and 9, bit not 8. Just says Video not Available. Infuriating sand unacceptable, Apple! I've never run into anything like this on any other streaming service.

Hi @diremouse

Thanks for reaching out to the Roku Community.

We're sorry to hear you run into a playback issue on the Apple TV channel. Does the issue only occur on this specific channel or all channels on your Roku device? If in this channel only, does the problem only exist on this specific tv show or all tv shows on the channel?

Have you tried to remove and reinstall the channel This is a great way to start troubleshooting the channel and see if it helps. To ensure the process is successful, restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

Please let us know what you find out.

Re: Apple TV won’t play second episodes and beyond within a series

It's only the Apple TV channel. Yes, I actually factory reset the whole stick and had to sign back into all my channels. That didn't fix it. It's bizarre, because it's very inconsistent. For instance, I am able to watch Shrinking, but can't watch any episode of Foundation, in addition to the one episode of Mythic Quest mentioned before.

@diremouse

Thanks for following up.

We're sorry to hear that it didn't work even after resetting the Roku device. Since the issue is only with the channel alone, this is a good indication that there is likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher.

Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to Apple TV support directly to share your feedback.
