Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We'd like to know more about the issue that you're having with the commercials or ads. May we know on what channels are you seeing ads or commercials? What time frame does it come up? Is this a continuous loop when you are watching some shows, movies, or channels?
With detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Kind regards,
John
How many times do you blockheads at Roku need this answered???
Fully documented 3 weeks ago:
I see this commercial loop on channel 194 Real America's Voice. It happens at every commercial break, usually at 15 minute intervals. It happens on every program 24 hours a day.
Please read through the whole thread. It only takes a couple minutes.
Unless you are just trying to bluff us with delaying tactics. In the end, your company will be sorry when everyone drops roku.
Roku punishes us for watching conservative programming with this advertisement, just like Pluto TV (CBS/Paramount/Viacom) adds a disclaimer about the content of RAV, Newsmax, Blaze and The First during just about every commercial break. Not to stray too far off the Roku experience, but CBS needs to add fake news (and porn) warnings on its own networks.
Texconsin, I had considered that possibility but noted that they don't play these commercials on Newsmax, Channel 190 on my device. I figured that Newsmax must pay more for their placement on the live tv list so their viewers aren't penalized. I assume they believe that people will stop watching this content but instead it makes more determined to find another "NON-ROKU" solution.
Thanks, but my comment about Newmax had to do with Pluto TV.
Well, I'm happy to report that the madness has ended!! I mean, it only took at least six months, and they replaced that loop with a loop that I'm certain will become equally as grating in no time, but, hey, at least it's something new! Actually, I think I'm just going to watch regular ol' TV (like mom used to make!) from now on. It's funny: I never thought I would long for commercials about car insurance or toothpaste, yet.....here we are!
