I did an AMC + trial a month ago. Never used it and the trial expired. So I removed the app from my home screen (I'm using a roku express on an HDTV) like you normally do and sometime later it put itself back. Tried removing it dozens of times and it always comes back. Tried restarting the Roku, tried deliberately installing it and removing it, no matter what it keeps coming back. I only have two devices and I've tried to remove it from both but no dice. It wants to live. How can I remove it? Thanks!
@tomsey, trials turn into subscriptions if you don't cancel before the trial period ends. Check your subscriptions by logging into your account at https://my.roku.com using the email address that's displayed on your device under Settings->System->About to ensure you're not still subscribed. I don't know exactly how those "on RokuChannel" icons work, but I suspect they're just shortcuts to "The Roku Channel" app and not regular apps.
I forgot to mention that I immediately cancelled any free trial subscription. There are no AMC related free trial subsciptions listed in that part of my account. Or any other subscriptions. As well, if I open the AMC + app, it asks to subscribe to be able to view content. Maybe I should remove the Roku channel app for a while to see if that takes care of it.
I remember in the past that it would not let me remove an app that had a live subscription. This is different though... i can remove it but it comes back. And I have no subscription.
