wifi connected base station and wireless camera

wifi connected base station and wireless camera only will connect when  phone app connected to same wifi, can't connect outside my home which of course makes it useless.

We get that you are unable to access your Roku Smart devices through your Roku Smart home app when you are outside and when connected to a different network. No worries, we are more than happy to help you with this.

Please be advised that even if you are connected to a different network from your Roku Smart devices, you can still access it through your Roku Smart Home app. Please ensure that you have an excellent internet signal on your phone. Check the internet connection signal strength because poor signal strength can prevent your Roku Smart Home app from working.

You can also use the mobile data of your phone if availbale. Just make sure that you have a higher data limit for your device. In addition, we would like to know if you are getting any error code or error message when you're trying to access the Roku Smart Home app, this will help us to look closely into the issue.
