My camera worked perfectly fine when I was doing the free trial. The trial ended, it stopped working so I bought the subscription. After I bought the subscription it still won’t record, notify, or do anything it’s supposed to do. 

I have deleted my device from the app and completely started the set up process. That didn’t work. 
I deleted the device again, the app, reinstalled and re did the set up process AGAIN. didn’t work. 
deleted the app, didn’t work. 

I had a break in in my house and I got this camera for security and it’s absolute trash.

Hey everyone!

If you're noticing that your Roku Smart Camera or video doorbell isn't recording events after the trial, here’s a quick breakdown:

  • With a Roku Smart Home Subscription, your camera saves event recordings (video clips) for 14 days in the cloud, plus you can back them up to a micro SD card if the internet drops.
  • Without a subscription, it only stores event recordings as a single image, but you can still back up video clips to a micro SD card.
