No Audio From SD Playback On Indoor Cam???

Jump to solution

Audio works on cam when on live feed, audio works on events recorded... Audio is on, on the live feed and on in the settings.

However, when it comes to playback from SD card plugged into computer, there is no audio at all in any of the videos. I have restarted the cam and done everything, is this just not a feature for the SD card playback??????

Roku Indoor Cam - All audio on - restarted cam - no audio on sd playback - WHAT?!?

If you're experiencing a lack of audio during playback on your indoor security camera, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check Camera Settings:

    • Ensure that the camera settings for audio are turned on. In some cases, audio recording may be disabled by default, or it may have been turned off inadvertently.
  2. Volume Settings:

    • Verify that the volume on the device you are using to access the camera's feed is not muted or turned down too low.
  3. Microphone Check:

    • Confirm that the camera's built-in microphone (if it has one) is functioning correctly. If it's not, you may need to contact customer support for assistance or a possible replacement.
  4. Firmware Updates:

    • Check for any available firmware updates for your camera. Sometimes, updating the camera's firmware can resolve audio-related issues.
  5. Network Connection:

    • Ensure that your camera has a stable internet connection. Poor connectivity can lead to audio dropouts or issues with the audio feed.
  6. Mobile App or Software:

    • If you're using a mobile app or software to access the camera, make sure it's updated to the latest version. Outdated apps or software can sometimes cause audio problems.
  7. Device Compatibility:

    • Verify that the device you are using to access the camera supports audio playback. Some devices or apps may not be compatible with audio feeds from certain cameras.
  8. Camera Reset:

    • As a last resort, you can try resetting the camera to its default settings and reconfiguring it. This should only be done if other troubleshooting steps have been unsuccessful.
  9. Contact Customer Support:

    • If you've tried all the above steps and are still experiencing audio issues, it's a good idea to contact the camera manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific guidance or solutions.

Please note that the specific troubleshooting steps may vary depending on the brand and model of your indoor camera. Be sure to consult the camera's user manual or the manufacturer's support resources for device-specific instructions.

Re: No Audio From SD Playback On Indoor Cam???

It seems you're experiencing an issue with the audio playback from your SD card on the Roku Indoor Cam. While the audio works perfectly during live feeds and recorded events, it's not functioning when you try to play back videos from the SD card on your computer. You've confirmed that the audio settings are enabled both on the live feed and in the cameras settings, and you've even tried restarting the camera without success. Unfortunately, it appears that the absence of audio during SD card playback might not be a supported feature for the Roku Indoor Cam. This can be frustrating, especially after trying all possible troubleshooting steps. To get a definitive answer or possible workaround, you might want to reach out to Roku support or check if there's any firmware update available for your camera that could resolve this issue.
