Indoor camera won’t connect after changing wi-fi setting

I have 2 indoor camera SE, model CS1000X, was gifted them from Amazon a year ago. They worked fine when I set them up. I had to install a new WiFi router. I took the cameras out of the app and tried to reconnect. I plug in the cameras and the light is solid red then turns to solid blue and red then goes dark. No blinking. I press the setup button and nothing happens. This is happening to both cameras

Re: Indoor camera won’t connect after changing wi-fi setting

@WileysWarriors,

We appreciate you posting in the Roku Community!

Thank you for contacting us regarding your Indoor Roku Camera's connectivity issues after changing your Wi-Fi network. We understand the importance of having your camera connected and functioning correctly.

During the setup process, your Roku Smart Home devices adopt Wi-Fi settings from your phone or tablet. When you move or change network equipment, these settings may change, causing your smart home devices to go offline. To update the Wi-Fi settings, repeat the setup process and connect your smart home devices to your new network.

How to update Wi-Fi Settings

To change Wi-Fi settings for your smart home camera, home monitoring system, light strip, or plug, you simply need to set up the device again in the smart home mobile app. You do not need to factory reset the device, which removes settings and preferences. Some devices require you to reset them first.

To update Wi-Fi settings for video doorbells and indoor cameras, skip to set up your device again.

For more detailed information, please check how to change Wi-Fi settings on your Roku Smart Home device.

Let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help.

Thanks,
Arjiemar

Re: Indoor camera won’t connect after changing wi-fi setting

Having this issue as well, solid red light after camera updated. I removed it from the app, have tried holding the setup button for over a minute, have switched outlets. Have done everything that you have ever recommended and all recommendations online. The camera only has a solid red light, will not start blinking. My other camera works just fine, and I can remove and add it as much as I would like, but this one will not go into setup mode no matter what, only solid red light. Do you think if I smash it against something really hard it would work again?

Re: Indoor camera won’t connect after changing wi-fi setting

Hi @OleWetGrundy,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand how frustrating it can be to have trouble setting up your Roku Indoor Camera, especially when it’s related to your internet connection. No worries, we are here to help.

We recommend you try the following:

  1. Unplug the USB cable from the back of your camera
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Plug the USB cable back into the power input port on your camera

If the issue persists, try to factory reset the camera by following the steps below:

  1. Plug in your camera if not already powered on
  2. Press and hold the Setup button for 10 seconds
  3. Wait at least 30 seconds for your camera to restart

After a successful reset, you will see a blue pulsing status light on your camera then try to set it up again. For setup help, please visit our Roku Support article: How to set up your Roku Indoor Camera SE

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if the issue persists.

Cheers,
Riamie
