HAD A RECENT EVENT HAPPEN. NEIGHBORS FROM DOWN THE STREET VERBALLY ATTACKED MY WIFE AND MYSELF ON OUR FRONT PORCH. THE ROKU DOORBELL CAMERA CAPTURED IT ALL. DEFINITELY TOLD OUR STORY CORRECTLY TO THE POLICE WHEN THEY ARRIVED. NEED TO SAVE THE VIDEOS INDEFINITLY FOR POSSIBLE COURT PROCEEDINGS. ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS? THANKS.

Download and share event recordings

You can share and download recordings in the smart home app. Downloading a recording will save it to the gallery on your mobile device. Sharing a recording will prompt you to select an app and then generate a message with the recording in the selected app.

1. On the Home screen, tap Events
2. Select the event
3. Tap the Download or Share icon

Thank you for bringing to our attention that the download icon is missing from your smart home app. We would be happy to assist you with this issue.

Have you tried logging out and logging back into the application? If you haven't given it a try yet, kindly follow the steps below:

• To sign out of the app: go to the Homepage, click on Account, and select Sign Out

After completing the process, please sign in again with your Roku credentials and check for any changes.

If the issue persists, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the smart home app. Let us know if this resolves the problem.

The icons only show up when you tap the video to play. You will see a box with an arrow up and another box with a down arrow. Top right corner of video in the daily event video.

I have an Android & don't see a DOWNLOAD button.  I signed out & back in, too.  What can I do?

I found the download icon.  On my phone it disappears when the video starts playing.  (It's at the top right on my Android.) That's why I couldn't find it.  Thanks!

4. Alternative – Screen Recording: If the app doesn’t offer a direct download option, you can use the screen recording function on your iPhone as a backup method. To do this:

   • Swipe down from the top right corner (for newer iPhones) to access the Control Center.
   • Tap the screen recording button (a filled circle within a ring) to start recording.
   • Play the video in the Roku app, and your iPhone will capture it in real-time.

   Remember to end the recording when the video finishes, and it’ll automatically save to your Photos app.

5. Check Cloud Backups: If you have a Roku subscription plan, some footage might also be stored in the cloud. Roku’s cloud storage sometimes allows you to download files directly free from snaptube apk their web interface, which could be another convenient option.
