HAD A RECENT EVENT HAPPEN. NEIGHBORS FROM DOWN THE STREET VERBALLY ATTACKED MY WIFE AND MYSELF ON OUR FRONT PORCH. THE ROKU DOORBELL CAMERA CAPTURED IT ALL. DEFINITELY TOLD OUR STORY CORRECTLY TO THE POLICE WHEN THEY ARRIVED. NEED TO SAVE THE VIDEOS INDEFINITLY FOR POSSIBLE COURT PROCEEDINGS. ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS? THANKS.
You can share and download recordings in the smart home app. Downloading a recording will save it to the gallery on your mobile device. Sharing a recording will prompt you to select an app and then generate a message with the recording in the selected app.

The icons only show up when you tap the video to play. You will see a box with an arrow up and another box with a down arrow. Top right corner of video in the daily event video.
I have an Android & don't see a DOWNLOAD button. I signed out & back in, too. What can I do?
I found the download icon. On my phone it disappears when the video starts playing. (It's at the top right on my Android.) That's why I couldn't find it. Thanks!
Wow, I’m really sorry to hear that you had to go through such an ordeal. It's incredibly frustrating to face something like that, especially on your own property. I can completely understand why you’d want to secure those recordings. Having the videos saved on your phone would definitely give you peace of mind, especially if you might need them for legal purposes.
I went through something similar when I needed to pull footage off a security cam, and while it wasn't a Roku doorbell, the process should be pretty straightforward with your Roku setup. Here’s a quick guide to download the videos to your iPhone:
Open the Roku Smart Home App: Ensure that you’re using the updated app version, as updates can sometimes improve download functions. You can usually find the latest update in your App Store, or follow this link for the updated app.
Locate the Video: In the app, go to the "History" or "Events" section (it might be labeled slightly differently depending on the version). Find the exact clip you need; most apps organize them by date and time.
Download Option: Once you’re viewing the video, look for a download icon (usually an arrow pointing down). If you don't see this option, Roku’s app might require you to select “Save to Device” or a similar prompt. This should start downloading the file to your iPhone’s Photos or Files app.
Alternative – Screen Recording: If the app doesn’t offer a direct download option, you can use the screen recording function on your iPhone as a backup method. To do this:
Remember to end the recording when the video finishes, and it’ll automatically save to your Photos app.
Check Cloud Backups: If you have a Roku subscription plan, some footage might also be stored in the cloud. Roku’s cloud storage sometimes allows you to download files directly free from snaptube apk their web interface, which could be another convenient option.
Hopefully, these steps help you secure the video files you need. If there’s any trouble, I’d recommend reaching out to Roku’s support to double-check any steps specific to their most recent app updates. Best of luck, and stay safe!
