Events not playing back, freezes upon attempt

For over a week now the events will not play back on the smart home app. Anytime an event is selected it freezes and app has no response to even go back resulting in force close. Tried restarting cameras, unplugging, reboot modem (internet is fine) nothing has fixed the issue. Cameras also seem to be lagging for about 3 weeks now. Also tried above methods. This is really frustrating when paying for the subscription, it’s really not useful in this state. Can something be done? Prior to this, things were running smoothly enough with the exception of some events periodically being just an image stating couldn’t be saved to cloud.

Re: Events not playing back, freezes upon attempt

Warmest welcome here in the Roku Community, @Tea_Cwik17!

Thank you for raising your concern regarding the playback issues you've been experiencing with your recorded events through the Roku Smart Home app. We also appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've tried.

No worries! We'd be more than happy to suggest further troubleshooting methods.

We suggest deleting the Smart Home app and reinstalling it again. After doing so, try to log in again and play any recorded events to see if this will make any difference. Also, did you make any changes with your network connection or is it connected to the same network as before?

Please let us know how it goes and we'll continue assisting you from there. Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Carly

Re: Events not playing back, freezes upon attempt

If this helps, I discovered the hard way several times…By using your same credentials on another device(s) I’ve found it tends to lock up playback events, error codes if user(s) don’t exit app completely when done. Guessing app can’t manage simultaneous single user login. It’s happened to our family several times. Good luck 👍
