We're having the same issue. If we figure anything out, I'll post, please do the same. It must be a Roku thing...

You have to wait and call between 7am and 11pm 😕 it seems like a lot of things requiring Internet are messing up tonight... I'll definitely be calling tomorrow...

Hi Community users,

From the Roku Community, a warm welcome and thanks for keeping us posted!

We'll be delighted to investigate further with this issue. Can you please provide the following information below?

  • What Roku cameras are you using right now? (Roku indoor camera, Roku outdoor camera, Roku floodlight camera, or Roku doorbell camera)
  • Could you send us a photo or video of your running problem?

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks,
John

Re: Cameras say offline but are showing live feed and giving updates to movement/sound detections.

Jump to solution

9 months since this post and I'm still having the same issue..

It shows "Offline" on my home screen but when I click the camera link it loads and shows it working just fine.. but I exit out of that and it says offline again..

I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and another phone with access is an iPhone 25 Pro and it doesn't show the camera as "offline" and works just fine.. it's just my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 that has the issue.

Did you ever get your "offline" error resolved?

Same thing just recently developed on one of my three cameras. Shows offline in app. Nothing I do fixes it. It's still recording events, and I still get notifications. All my Roku TVs show the camera as normal. TV can display the live feed from the camera. Roku support chat no help. Everytime I try something they say the chat is killed and I have to start over.

Hey everyone,

If your Roku Camera shows as "offline" in the app but you can still view the live stream, try these steps:

  • Update Firmware: Make sure your Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up-to-date.
  • Power Cycle the Camera: Unplug the camera's power source, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Power Cycle Your Network: Unplug your router for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

This should resolve the "offline" status in the app while maintaining your live stream access.

We will be locking this thread because of its outdated status, if the issue persists:

Happy Streaming! 💜

Thanks,
