Trouble Understanding Your Subscription charges? We Can Help!

Hi Community users,

This post is designed to help you understand any charges or subscriptions you see on your account.

Important Note: Roku itself never charges for your Roku account or customer support.

Is the Charge from Roku?

  • Check your billing statement for "Roku," "Roku for <app/provider>," or "The Roku Channel." These are charges from Roku.
  • If you see a different name, the charge isn't from Roku. Contact your bank for more information.

Is it a Subscription from Another Streaming Service?

How to Find Your Active Roku Subscriptions

  • Roku Website: Sign in to my.roku.com and go to "My Subscriptions." Here you can manage your Roku subscriptions, including updating them or turning off auto-renew to cancel them.
  • Roku Device: Go to the channel, and select "Manage Subscription" to see the renewal date and manage options. If you don't see this option, it's not billed by Roku.

  • Roku Mobile App: Go to "Account" then "Payments & Subscriptions" to see and manage your Roku subscriptions.

Review your subscriptions and other charges:

Free Trial: Free trials automatically become paid subscriptions. Cancel before the last day of the free trial to avoid charges, you must cancel your subscription on or before the last day of the free trial period.

Multiple users: If you share your Roku device with others, you may want to create a Roku PIN to protect against unauthorized purchases in the future.

Multiple accounts: You may have more than one Roku account and have made the purchase or signed up for the subscription through a different Roku account.

$1.00 charge on your credit or debit card:  A $1 charge might be a temporary hold to verify your payment method. It will be returned.

Unsure about a charge? Review your purchase history to determine what the charge could be

If you still don't recognize the charge and want to dispute it, contact customer support. If the charge isn't from Roku, contact your bank or credit card company.

The Roku Community is full of helpful users and experts. Feel free to post your question here!

Happy Streaming! 💜
