I signed up for Direct TV with them, after the free trial period, it would be $89.99. Then I added the Direct TV app to my Roku screen and when I logged in, they were going to charge $86.99 for it. Direct TV says that unless I use their Gemini streaming device, I will be charged both. I would like to know why this is so.
Hi, @erisburnham.
Welcome and thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We understand that you're still getting charged even though you already have a subscription.
In addition to our Roku Guru's post above, ensure you select the sign-in button and since you already have a subscription directly to the channel provider, you need to sign in with your Direct TV credentials on your streaming player.
We hope you find this information helpful.
Regards,
Reynan
You'd have to ask DIRECTV. Roku only collects the money for subscriptions, takes their cut, and then gives the rest to the provider (DIRECTV). The terms of the subscription are up to the provider.
What you're saying doesn't sound right, but I'm not a customer. Maybe other DIRECTV customers can chime in.
