Can you use credit to buy movies?

Hello,

I recently got $10 credit on Roku and I was under the impression you could use it to buy movies. It said that upon my next purchase it'd be automatically applied. So I tried to buy a movie through my roku, which was under $10 on prime video and instead my card got charged. This was after clicking the button on my screen to use the credit I had been given. I wouldn't have purchased the movie if I thought I'd be charged

Please be advised that the Roku Channel is a free, ad-supported service. Anyone with a Roku TV or Roku streaming device, like the Roku Streaming Stick or Roku Express, can access these channels. If, in any case, you purchased anything outside of The Roku Channel, such as Prime Video, which is a streaming channel on Roku, this purchase is billed by the other channel and not by Roku.
